Based on high-profile cases and inspired by the career of a pioneering forensic scientist known as the "Sherlock Holmes" of China's criminal investigation field, Traces of Justice follows Cui Xun, who, beginning in the 1970s, works alongside a forensic pathologist and a detective to investigate a succession of serious crimes spanning five decades.
